What is Strengthening Family Connections (SFC)?
The SFC team work in two core areas: Strengthening family and cultural connections.
How Do Our Team Help?
Family Connections: Strengthening Family Connections team will be responsible for implementing culturally appropriate Family Connection to kin for children in care. Section 87 of The Child Protection Act 1999: Chief Executive to provide contact between child and child’s parents.
Cultural Connections: Strengthening Family Connections team will be responsible for keeping children in care connected to their community and culture in a community led way. Section 88 of The Child Protection Act 1999L Chief Executive to provide contact between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child and child’s community or language group.
